Kobelt Manufacturing has been acquired by Twin Disc

Kobelt Manufacturing, Ltd, Inc. (“Kobelt” or the “Company”) has been acquired by Twin Disc (Nasdaq: TWIN).  EdgePoint served as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor to Kobelt. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in British Columbia, Kobelt is an international manufacturer of motion control products, brake, control and steering systems for the industrial and marine markets.  On both a custom and product line basis, Kobelt designs and builds complex braking, control, stabilization, and steering products and systems to the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial equipment, oil rigging systems, and commercial marine vessels.  With an impressive installed base, the Company supplies product on a new-build, replacement, and retrofit basis.

Twin Disc designs, manufactures and sells marine and heavy-duty, off-highway power transmission equipment.   Its product suite includes marine transmissions, azimuth drives, surface drives, propellers and boat management systems, as well as powershift transmissions, hydraulic torque converters, power take-offs, industrial clutches and control systems.
